An artist’s corner- A creative haven, a inspiring workspace
After months of sitting at home, the creative mind wasn’t creative anymore. The end.
That’s not what we want our story to end like. The pandemic has made us all reconsider our working spaces, creating niches for ourselves in an otherwise gloomy space to dwell and focus and create- the perfect artist’s corner.
Here we look at some décor ideas for that perfect corner to fuel your passion for art and get your creative juices flowing.
Color it up.
In a room full of dull, muted colors, (because that’s what we think the recent decor ideas make us do), we want the working space to stand out. Consider painting an artwork on a dead wall, there are plenty of ideas available online. Check- https://renoguide.com.au/diy/45-creative-wall-paint-ideas-and-designs
Here we can think about random rectangles, honeycomb patterns, something artsy with floral patterns, or simply something colorful and abstract. A pop of color is never too much.
Add Greens. Lots of greens.
Nothing makes a space more inviting than a cute indoor plant or a small succulent on the window sill, or even better- a terrarium. A variety of colorful planters spice up the vibe to another level. Also look at making the space Zen, with bamboos. This calms the nerve and is a good thing to look at as a break from staring at the screen for hours.

Lighting it up
The room may be as boringly lit as ever. That shouldn’t stop you from creating your own DIY lamps, in geometric shapes hanging over your desk. They’re super easy to make and look lovely! Be it an old bottle or jute ropes or even paper plates, there are thousands of tutorials online about making every type of lamps.
The décor
Now comes the best part. Pouring all your creative juices into making wall pieces, or hanging artworks can give a personal and fun vibe. Look for those mirror pieces the next time you clean your home. You can even make something out of complete waste materials like old CDs or newspapers.
Final touches
Cozy rugs, curtains filtering out the winter sun, stacks of vintage paperbacks, a wooden pen-stand with brushes and colorful pencils, an encyclopedia open randomly- all this adds up to give a great vibe. Add photographs on the wall and a globe to channel your traveler’s spirit. Make sure to make it personal, it’s your space after all, and functional too- we want to work there.
